Our 'year-round destination' guesthouse Hof Maiezyt in Habkern - 9km above Interlaken in Switzerland
is a wonderful vacation destination all year round for all those who love the mountains and want to get to know the beautiful Bernese Oberland.
Spring, summer and fall are perfect for hiking, biking/e-biking, swimming in Lake Thun or Lake Brienz, climbing, excursions to the famous Jungfrau region (Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, Schilthorn/Piz Gloria, etc), exploring the beautiful towns of Brienz, Thun, Bern and much more.
In winter, ski tours, cross-country ski trails, toboggan runs and ski slopes are equally attractive. In Habkern itself we have a great cross-country ski trail with guaranteed snow, and if there is enough snow we even have our own small ski area.
Otherwise, the Jungfrau region is also ideal for all kinds of winter sports.
Places like Grindelwald, Wengen, Mürren, Adelboden, Schilthorn - all within easy reach.
